2   Commemoration of J.K.W. Loehe, German Lutheran Pastor, died 1872. Founder of the Neuendettelsau Mission Society which sent missionaries to America, Australia, New Guinea, Brazil and the Ukraine.
5   Commemoration of Kaj Munk, Danish Lutheran Pastor, Martyr, died 1944. He opposed Hitler and the Nazis; shot in the head by the Gestapo; his body was found in a ditch. More than 4,000 defied Nazi orders and attended his funeral.
